CGI Construction in Ontario, CA | Moreno Valley Builders

We provide independent CGI cabinet and countertop service across Ontario, including our General Contractor in Ontario,, from original 1950s ranch kitchens in 91761 and 91762 to newer infill builds along the 91758 logistics spine. What makes our CGI work different here is that we plan around the Santa Ana wind corridor off Cajon Pass, which pushes dust and grit into older homes and stresses west- and north-facing walls in ways flatland cities don’t see. We’re Moreno Valley Builders, and we’re an independent contractor, not authorized or sponsored by CGI. Call (877) 752-3154 for a free estimate.

Why Ontario Residents Choose Us for CGI Service

We’ve spent years installing and correcting CGI cabinetry, quartz surfaces, and finish systems in Inland Empire homes. That matters because CGI’s ready-to-assemble all-plywood shaker and slab lines hold up differently in Ontario’s heat than they do in coastal cities. The same goes for their semi-custom painted MDF-door series and their laminate and thermofoil budget lines, which we see a lot of in older multifamily and ranch-style kitchens.

Noel Trevino, our owner and general contractor, grew up in Sunnymead Ranch and has spent nearly three decades building and renovating across the Inland Empire. He learned framing and mechanical systems at Riverside City College, then spent years fixing what other crews got wrong, undersized headers, remodels that ignored load paths, stucco over green framing. That background is why we treat CGI work as construction, not just cabinet swapping. If the details aren’t right on paper, they won’t be right in the wall.

We also keep CGI-spec hinges, slides, and shelf pins on hand for faster turnaround in Ontario. When you call about a sagging drawer or a delaminating door edge, we can usually diagnose it over the phone and bring the right parts on the first trip. You can learn more about our broader CGI sales & service work or see where we operate across the Ontario service area.

Common CGI Construction Problems We Solve in Ontario

  • Thermofoil and laminate door peeling on budget lines. Ontario’s inland heat cycling dries the adhesive layer behind thermofoil, and the edges lift first. Homes in 91761 and 91762 with original 1990s boxes see this constantly. We can reface with a more stable material or rebuild with plywood-box CGI lines depending on what’s behind the door.
  • Particleboard boxes sagging and racking out of square. When a kitchen sits on a west-facing wall that bakes all afternoon, the particleboard expands and contracts until the box loses its corner strength. Drawer fronts go out of alignment, slides bind, and doors won’t close square. If the box is already racked, we’ll tell you honestly that new cabinets beat patching.
  • Wind-driven dust collecting inside cabinets and on slides. Older Ontario tract homes have attic and wall penetrations that were never sealed. The Santa Ana winds push fine grit through those gaps, and it lands on drawer slides and inside cabinet boxes. We scope air-sealing at the start of every kitchen job here, before cabinets go back in.
  • Quartz seams and edge profiles failing at sink cutouts. CGI slab tops chip and stain around the sink when the original install used minimal support and the cabinet run has settled. Post-WWII tract homes settle unevenly, and the sink cutout is where that stress concentrates. We rebuild the support before we set the new slab.
  • Stapled-drawer construction failing under daily use. The budget CGI lines used stapled drawer boxes, and after fifteen or twenty years of Ontario heat and dry air, the staples work loose and the drawer fronts start to separate. We swap in dovetailed or glued-and-screwed drawer boxes when we reface, and the difference is immediate.

CGI Service in Ontario: What Local Conditions Mean for Your Equipment

Ontario sits at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains in the Inland Valley wind corridor, where the Santa Ana winds off the Cajon and Cucamonga side drive heat, dust, and wind abrasion in ways neighboring Rancho Cucamonga and Chino don’t experience with the same intensity. The west- and north-facing walls on those 1950s and 1960s stucco tracts chalk and crack first. For homes in the hills, we also provide San Antonio Heights CGI service. The same wind pushes grit into attic and HVAC penetrations, and on kitchen work we scope air-sealing and wall repair before cabinets go back in. In our experience, a kitchen on the west wall of a 91762 ranch near downtown Ontario gets hit by sun and wind in equal measure, and the cabinets bear the results. That’s why we shim and scribe every run to the actual wall, not the blueprint. It’s also why we check the wall cavity for dust intrusion before we close anything up.

CGI Models & Products We Service in Ontario

We handle the full CGI range that shows up in Ontario homes and commercial tenant build-outs: the ready-to-assemble all-plywood shaker and slab cabinet lines, the semi-custom painted MDF-door series, the quartz slab countertop programs in both builder-grade and upgraded tiers, and the laminate and thermofoil budget lines still found in older infill multifamily. For parts, we use CGI-spec or equivalent OEM-grade hinges, slides, shelf pins, and matching door and drawer fronts so finishes stay consistent. We’ll substitute a quality aftermarket part when it’s a genuine upgrade, and we’ll tell you why. If the boxes are solid, we reface and re-hardware. If they’re particleboard and already racked, we’ll say so plainly.
