Ameristar Construction in Adelanto, CA | Moreno Valley Builders

We’re an independent general contractor providing Ameristar window, door, and cabinet service across Adelanto’s 92301 zip code. We are not authorized, sponsored, or endorsed by Ameristar, but we’ve installed and repaired their products here long enough to know exactly how this high-desert climate treats them. The single biggest difference in our Adelanto work is the soil: expansive ground near old George Air Force Base land shifts foundations and racks window openings out of square, and we correct that before the first replacement unit goes in. Call (877) 752-3154 for a free estimate on any Ameristar product.

Why Adelanto Residents Choose Us for Ameristar Service

Adelanto’s construction market runs on a particular kind of knowledge. Massive logistics warehouses and correctional facilities sit next to residential tracts built on former Air Force land. The housing stock spans older self-built homes on big lots and 1980s-to-2000s stucco tract houses, and nearly all of it gets hammered by the same wind and heat. Ameristar products are common here because they hit a sensible price point for builders and homeowners, but they need to be installed with local conditions in mind, not per a generic spec sheet. The same holds true for our Ameristar service in Spring Valley Lake. That’s where we come in.

Noel Trevino, our owner and general contractor, grew up in Sunnymead Ranch and has spent nearly three decades building and renovating across the Inland Empire. He learned framing, concrete, and mechanical systems at Riverside City College, which gave him the foundation to recognize when a rough opening has drifted half an inch or a window flange was never sealed against blowing sand. We apply that same scrutiny to every Ameristar window, door, or cabinet we touch in Adelanto. For more on our broader capability, see our Ameristar sales & service page.

We keep OEM Ameristar parts for critical components: window balances, sash locks, door hinges. For weatherstripping and seals, we often spec aftermarket materials rated for fine dust and sustained wind because they outperform the original in this environment. That combination of factory-fit hardware and better-than-stock seals is what makes the difference between a window that holds up and one that starts leaking dust again by the next Santa Ana season.

Common Ameristar Construction Problems We Solve in Adelanto

These are the recurring failures we see on Ameristar products in Adelanto, and they are not the same failures you’d see in Rancho Cucamonga, Redlands, or even with Mountain View Acres Ameristar service calls.

  • Warped and discolored vinyl window frames: Ameristar MA Series single-hung and slider vinyl frames were never really engineered for weeks of triple-digit heat and relentless UV. We regularly see sashes that have warped enough to break the weather seal, leaving gaps that whistle in the wind. The fix depends on how far the warp has gone: adjusted hardware and replaced seals sometimes works, but badly warped sashes usually call for replacement with M7 dual-pane units, which have a sturdier frame profile.
  • Fogged glass and failed seals on dual-pane units: Wind-driven sand is the killer here. It abrades the edge seals on Ameristar M7 dual-pane windows, and once sand gets between the glass, you get permanent fogging and lost insulation value. There is no field repair for a failed IGU. We replace the glass pack with an OEM-spec unit and upgrade the glazing tape and exterior seal so the next sandstorm doesn’t repeat the damage.
  • Rusted and chipped steel entry door edges: Ameristar AF Series steel doors take a beating along the bottom edges where blown sand scours the finish and winter mornings leave condensation behind. We strip, treat, and repaint where the substrate is sound, or re-hang a fiberglass AF Series door where rust has eaten into the steel. Fiberglass stands up better to sand abrasion.
  • Swollen and delaminating cabinet boxes and doors: Adelanto’s older homes run evaporative coolers hard through the summer. Indoor humidity spikes, and Ameristar 6100 Series thermofoil and laminate cabinet doors start swelling at the seams. We handle refacing and replacement, but we always address the moisture source first: a leaky swamo seal, a bathroom venting into the kitchen, or a missing vapor barrier. If the details aren’t right on paper, they won’t be right in the wall.
  • Out-of-square window and door openings: This is the Adelanto-specific one. Expansive soils in older neighborhoods, especially parcels near the old George Air Force Base, move enough to shift rough openings as much as half an inch or more. A replacement window forced into that opening will bind, leak, and fail early. We re-square and shim the framing before installing Ameristar replacement units, something we rarely need to do in Victorville’s newer tract developments.

Ameristar Service in Adelanto: What Local Conditions Mean for Your Equipment

Adelanto is not Victorville. That sounds obvious, but the difference shows up in your wall framing. In the older pockets of Adelanto, the ground contains expansive clays that swell with winter moisture and shrink in the summer heat. Foundations heave. Window and door rough openings drift out of square by fractions of an inch. Contractors who treat Adelanto like the rest of the High Desert will drop a new Ameristar window into a racked opening, caulk the gap, and call it done. Six months later, the sash binds, the operator strips, and dust pours through the corners. We see it all the time on homes off Air Expressway and around the old base parcels. The correction is not complicated: we strip the opening, check it with a level and string line, and re-frame or shim it square before the new unit goes in. It takes an extra hour or two. It is the difference between a window that works for five years and one that works for twenty. That practice is exactly what you’ll find when you work with us in the Adelanto service area.

A few years back we got called to a 1970s ranch-style home off Air Expressway where the original Ameristar single-hung windows were letting in so much dust the homeowner had to vacuum the sills weekly. Once we pulled the units, we found the rough openings had shifted nearly half an inch from soil movement. We re-squared and shimmed the framing, then installed Ameristar M7 dual-pane windows with upgraded weatherstripping and foam backer rod. The homeowner called us a few weeks later to say the dust and outside noise had dropped noticeably, and the windows still operated smoothly through the next wind season. That is what local installation knowledge looks like in practice.

Ameristar Models & Products We Service in Adelanto

We work on the Ameristar lines most common in Adelanto homes:

  • Ameristar MA Series windows – single-hung and slider, vinyl frame. Common in older Adelanto builds and manufactured homes. We service hardware, balances, and seals, and replace when warping is advanced.
  • Ameristar M7 Series windows – dual-pane vinyl windows. The better option for Adelanto’s temperature swings and dust. We retrofit these where MA units have failed structurally.
  • Ameristar AF Series entry doors – steel and fiberglass. We re-hang, adjust, treat rusted edges, and replace weatherseals with aftermarket products rated for fine sand and high wind.
  • Ameristar 6100 Series cabinets – thermofoil and laminate. We repair, reface, and install, always addressing the humidity source in the home first.

For critical moving parts like balances, locks, and hinges, we use OEM Ameristar components to keep the fit and function correct. For seals and weatherstripping, we often use aftermarket materials that hold up better against Adelanto’s dust and wind than the original spec. We keep common Ameristar window and door parts stocked locally so we are not waiting on a distributor in Ontario or San Bernardino to get your window operating again.

Ameristar Service Pricing in Adelanto

What you’ll pay depends on the product and the scope of the correction, whether in Adelanto or for our Oak Hills Ameristar service. Window replacement costs more when we are re-framing an out-of-square opening or upgrading from single-pane Ameristar MA units to M7 dual-pane. Roof repair figures in because Ameristar doors and windows often leak from above: flashing, roof-to-wall transitions, and damaged shingles along the eaves. Cabinet installation or refacing prices swing on whether we are re-hanging existing boxes or building new ones.

Service Price Range
Window Replacement $4,500 – $15,000
Roof Repair $400 – $1,800
Cabinet Installation $4,000 – $13,000
